WordPress
engineering.

WordPress treated as a real engineering platform: custom plugins, block themes, headless architectures and WooCommerce — version-controlled, tested, and free of page builders.

Native Gutenberg — no Elementor, ever Version-controlled & CI-deployed Zero-downtime migrations

Overview

43% of the web deserves better code.

What it is

Professional WordPress development: custom plugins and block themes, headless builds, WooCommerce and migrations — written like software, not assembled from purchased parts.

Why it matters

WordPress runs almost half the web, and most of it badly. Done right, it's the most cost-effective content platform available; done wrong, it's a security and performance liability.

Business value

A site your marketing team edits confidently, developers extend safely, search engines rank well, and hosting bills stay predictable.

Challenges

The WordPress problems we inherit.

Most WordPress sites weren't engineered — they accumulated. These are the symptoms.

  • +Page-builder sites nobody can maintain
  • +Plugin sprawl — 40 plugins, 4 needed
  • +Failing Core Web Vitals and rankings
  • +Hacked or outdated installations
  • +Themes that break with every update
  • +WooCommerce checkout losing sales
  • +No staging — edits happen in production

Solutions

What we build.

Custom Plugins

Purpose-built plugins with proper hooks, tests and update safety — replacing stacks of purchased ones.

Benefit — Exactly your functionality, nothing else.

Custom Block Themes

Native Gutenberg themes with patterns and locked-down editing roles.

Benefit — Editors stay on-brand without a page builder.

Headless WordPress

WordPress as content API behind a Next.js frontend — editorial comfort, modern speed.

Benefit — CMS your team knows, performance users notice.

WooCommerce Engineering

Custom checkout flows, payment integrations, product logic and performance work.

Benefit — A store that converts instead of timing out.

Performance Overhaul

Caching strategy, image pipeline, query optimization and plugin diet.

Benefit — Passing Core Web Vitals — measured, not claimed.

Migrations

Host-to-host, builder-to-blocks, multisite splits and platform exits — staged and rehearsed.

Benefit — Zero-downtime cutover, rankings preserved.

Security Hardening

Audits, patching, WAF configuration, least-privilege access and monitored backups.

Benefit — A site that stops appearing in incident reports.

Maintenance Retainers

Updates, backups, uptime monitoring and a response-time commitment.

Benefit — WordPress off your worry list, permanently.

FAQ

WordPress, answered.

Can you migrate us off Elementor or another page builder?

Yes — it's one of our most common projects. Content is rebuilt as native Gutenberg blocks and patterns, layouts preserved or improved, and the builder plugin removed. Sites typically get dramatically faster.

Will our editors be able to update the site?

Yes — better than before. Block patterns and locked templates mean editors change text and images freely without being able to break layouts. Editor documentation is included.

Can you fix a hacked site?

Yes — cleanup, forensic review, patching the entry point and hardening against recurrence. We then recommend a maintenance agreement so it doesn't happen again.

Do you work with WooCommerce?

Extensively — custom checkout logic, payment gateways, subscriptions, ERP/inventory sync and performance work on large catalogs.

What about hosting?

We deploy to your host or recommend one sized to your traffic and budget. Every site ships with Cloudflare, staging and monitored backups.

Can you migrate without losing SEO?

Yes — URL mapping, redirects, structured-data preservation and rank monitoring are part of every migration checklist. Rehearsed on staging before cutover.

What does WordPress work cost?

Indicatively from €2,500 for engineering projects; maintenance from €250/month. Every project gets a fixed written quote after a free audit.

Who owns the theme and plugins you build?

You do — all custom code transfers in full on final payment, in Git, with documentation.
